Laburnum Grove
Our Autumn 2017 production is ‘Laburnum Grove’ by J B Priestley.
J B Priestley is an author and playwright of international significance. He is also a social commentator, a critic, a family man – and a northerner!
He began writing plays in the 1930s and is perhaps best known for his 1944/45 play ‘An Inspector Calls’. The 1992 revival by the National Theatre was a huge success and is now the most award winning twentieth century theatre revival.
Holton Players are delighted to present Laburnum Grove, a comedy drama from the 1930s with observations which resonate today. Join us for an evening of wit and gentle humour to uncover life in suburbia in Laburnum Grove, where the long suffering Mr Radfern is plagued by his relatives.
